How should I prepare for my massage?
Please arrive on time for your massage appointment (not too early), and make sure your New Client Form is completed beforehand so your therapist can prepare for your treatment.
Wear something comfortable. Once you're in the treatment room, your therapist will ask you to undress to your underwear if you are comfortable to do so. You’ll always be appropriately draped throughout your remedial or relaxation massagefor comfort and privacy.
We use oil during treatments and finish with warm hot towels, so you leave feeling clean, relaxed, and refreshed.
-
If you are running late, we will still be able to see you; however, your treatment time may be shortened to avoid impacting the next client. Your therapist will discuss this with you on arrival.
-

We kindly ask for at least 24 hours’ notice to avoid late cancellation fees. If less than 24 hours’ notice is given, we will always try to fill your appointment, however cancellation fees may still apply.
What counts as an emergency?
We only classify an emergency as something serious and unexpected that prevents attendance, such as:Going into labour
A hospital admission
A sudden, significant accident
If you experience a genuine emergency, please email us at hello@masaj.com.au and we will review your cancellation fee.

Euphoria: A restorative, relaxation-focused massage. Typically lighter in pressure (but adaptable), using techniques drawn from Swedish massage, ZenThai, Ayurvedic massage, breathwork and slow touch. Some therapists may incorporate somatics, energy work, movement or acupressure. Usually full-body but can be adapted.
Deep Remedy: Our interpretation of deep tissue. Medium to firm pressure, with lighter touch where needed. Targets tension while integrating elements of restoration such as breathwork or slow touch.
Babe: Our pregnancy massage. Tailored to your changing body and comfort level. Pressure may range from light to firm and is always delivered safely.
Real Remedial: A remedial treatment claimable through private health. Best suited to specific issues or tension. Pressure may vary based on need. Remedial refers to targeted technique-based work, not necessarily firm pressure.
TMJ Relief: targeted jaw, face and neck work.
Euphoric Facial Flow: facial sculpting, lymphatic strokes and relaxation.
Lymph: gentle lymphatic-focused treatment to support fluid flow and detoxification.

Yes. When you book your massage appointment online, you can choose a specific therapist or select from any available therapist at your preferred time.
Each therapist has different areas of focus and qualifications, so you’re welcome to choose someone based on the type of treatment you’re looking for (e.g. remedial massage, Lymphatic drainage, pregnancy massage).
If your preferred therapist isn’t available, you can either choose another available therapist or try a different time that suits their schedule.

Good news! 😊 You don't need a referral from a medical practitioner to book a remedial massage.
If you do happen to have one, feel free to bring it along on the day so your therapist can take a look.
